Job summary

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. is hiring a Scientist to join the R&D Product Support Team. You will perform experiments, analyze data, and help inform decisions for on-market products.

You will lead tests, design experiments as needed, document results, and present findings to review bodies and management. The role emphasizes collaboration, regulatory awareness, and ongoing knowledge development in life sciences and diagnostics.

Qualifications

• BS in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Bioengineering with 5–7 years' experience, or a Master’s with 0–3 years.
• Experience in new product development or product support within life sciences/diagnostics preferred.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and problem-solving techniques desirable.
• Strong understanding of life and biological sciences.
• Proficiency with JMP and MS Office; instrumentation development experience.
• Lab bench and instrumentation skills; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials, perform experiments, gather data, and reach conclusions.
• May design experiments.
• Document experiments and lab activities; maintain documentation.
• Present results; prepare reports and summaries.
• Participate in or manage teams; plan and organize activities.
• Order and maintain equipment and workspace.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient processes.
• Produce and test reagents and final products as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of products, procedures, developments, and regulatory environment.
• Participate in conferences, webinars, and seminars to develop knowledge.
