Job summary

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in Louisville, CO is seeking a Polymer Process Engineer to lead R&D of methods, processes, tools, and systems for advanced polymer offerings. You will define, develop and document efficient processing methods, parameters, procedures, and materials, and develop tooling to scale production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum 4 years in processes such as injection molding, extrusion, composites, thermoforming, etc.
• Minimum 4 years in automation processes or polymer processing.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 kgs.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex research and analysis to determine the best process design approach.
• Recommend manufacturing tools, machines, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies to commercialize the product.
• Investigate costs and provide process adjustments and improvements.
• Determine equipment requirements for production compatibility.
• Select new processes and may introduce new equipment.
• Provide technical assistance in implementing new manufacturing technologies.
• Follow documentation practices and seek improvements.
• Operate with minimal supervision and independent judgment.
• Align with company Vision, Mission and Core Values.
