Job summary

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is seeking a Process Engineer in Louisville, CO, to drive innovation and improvement in injection molding and extrusion operations. This hands-on role collaborates with multiple teams to define safe, effective manufacturing methods, parameters and procedures while troubleshooting with engineering rigor.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering with 3 years of injection molding experience; thermoplastic extrusion and high modulus materials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3 years’ experience in injection molding process engineering.
• Lean 6σ Green Belt certification is a plus.
• Experience with thermoplastic extrusion, thermoset and high modulus materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex research and analysis to determine feasibility of design.
• Selects manufacturing tools and machines that are appropriate and cost-effective.
• Implements statistical process controls on key inputs and process variables.
• Investigates manufacturing costs and design/process improvements.
• Determines equipment requirements to ensure compatibility with the process.
• Introduces new manufacturing processes and may add new equipment.
• Provides technical assistance to manufacturing to implement new technology.
• Follows documentation practices and seeks continuous improvements.
• Operates with minimal supervision and uses independent judgment.
• Promotes alignment with Vision, Mission and Core Values.
• Other duties as assigned.
