Job summary

Kaztronix in New Jersey is seeking a Manager, R&D Business Operations to own PO creation in Ariba/SAP, translate contracts into PO structures, and ensure budget alignment and policy compliance.

You will partner with R&D, Legal, Finance, Strategic Sourcing and Accounts Payable to issue timely POs, manage changes, track KPIs, and support audits, month-end close, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech business/ procurement/ finance operations.
• Experience creating and managing purchase orders within enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
• Strong understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P) processes including requisitioning, PO generation, invoice matching, and accruals.
• Experience cross-functionally with R&D, Finance, Strategic Sourcing, Legal and Accounts Payable.
• Ability to interpret contract financial terms and translate into system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create, generate, and manage purchase orders in Ariba/SAP following full contract execution.
• Translate contractual payment terms and milestones into PO structures.
• Review agreements for proper financial setup, funding allocations, and schedules.
• Process and manage change orders, PO amendments, closures, and funding adjustments.
• Monitor PO lifecycle activities including invoice matching and accrual support.
• Generate reports and dashboards to track PO cycle times, spend, and KPIs.
• Support month-end/year-end close and audits related to procurement.
