Job summary

Radiance Technologies is seeking an R&D Mechanical Engineer to support programs in the Scientific and Technical Intelligence Group. You will design, analyze, and integrate mechanical and thermal systems for circuit card assemblies, working closely with electrical and computer engineers in a hands-on laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Minimum 3.2 GPA (out of 4.0) with GPA listed on resume to be considered.
• 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a lab, R&D, test, prototyping, or experimental environment (Masters can substitute).
• Hands-on prototyping experience via design/build/fly, Formula SAE, CubeSat, or similar.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA NX, or similar.
• Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and design for manufacturing.
• Experience in heat transfer mechanics and thermal systems, preferably in electrical systems.
• Experience with standard electrical lab equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, power supplies).
• Experience creating engineering drawings, CAD models, BOMs, and fabrication documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate mechanical and thermal systems for circuit card assemblies and supporting technologies.
• Conduct analyses of complex problems using first principles.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary engineering projects within a team.
• Produce technical documentation of assigned projects.
