Qualifications

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a lab/R&D/testing environment.
• Hands-on prototyping experience (design/build/fly, Formula SAE, CubeSat, etc.).
• Experience with GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and design for manufacturing.
• Experience with heat transfer mechanics and thermal systems, preferably in electrical systems.
• Experience using standard electrical lab equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, power supplies).
• Experience creating engineering drawings, CAD models, BOMs, and fabrication documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, and integration of mechanical and thermal systems for circuit card assemblies and supporting technologies.
• Conduct analyses of complex problems using first principles.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary engineering projects and collaborate with electrical/computer engineers and technicians.
• Produce technical documentation for assigned projects.
• Lead hands-on lab work to design, build, test microelectronics solutions and their mechanical supports.
• Perform mechanical/thermal design and analysis, prototype builds, and failure analysis.
