Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our Special Hazards Fire Suppression NPI team at our R&D facility in Marinette, WI. Responsibilities include design, development, testing, and certification of fire protection products for our Restaurant Suppression portfolio.

This is an on-site role in Marinette, WI, not eligible for Visa sponsorship. Relocation packages are available for suitable candidates who can commute or relocate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 1+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Ability to apply fundamental engineering theory, math, mechanics and physical science to the job.
• Ability to write reports and convey detailed technical information.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and certify fire protection products for the Restaurant Suppression portfolio.
• Create concept diagrams, detailed drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate prototype efforts and plan/test programs; analyze data to optimize designs.
