Johnson Controls is hiring! The Sustaining Mechanical Engineer is a product support engineering role within the Fire Suppression Special Hazards & Foam R&D team. In this position, you will support a portfolio of fire protection products and equipment used across a variety of applications and industries. You will also provide technical support to the business by partnering with Manufacturing, Quality, and Technical Services teams; collaborating with regulatory and certification agencies to maintain compliance with global standards; and working within a global R&D organization to design, test, validate, and improve products.
This role offers the opportunity to drive product enhancements, implement cost reduction initiatives, and lead engineering changes from concept through execution. You will also play a key role in troubleshooting product issues, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring the ongoing performance and reliability of our products. As part of your product line responsibilities, you will regularly collaborate with cross‑functional teams, global engineering partners, external suppliers, regulatory bodies, and customers.
This position is based onsite in Marinette, WI. Candidates must be commuting distance to the facility, or open to relocation. Only US Citizens and/or Permanent Residents will be considered.

SALARY RANGE: $85,000 - $115,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
