Job summary

Vantage Elevation, LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer – R&D for elevator door systems in Bronx, NY. You will design, develop, test, and validate mechanical components and assemblies, maintaining rigorous engineering drawings and BOMs throughout the product life cycle.

Qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 2–4 years of experience in product development or manufacturing, proficiency with Inventor (and 2D CAD), GD&T knowledge, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2–4 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in product development/R&D/manufacturing
• Experience designing mechanical components from concept through production
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Inventor preferred)
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings
• Understanding of DFM/DFA and Lean manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and validate mechanical components and assemblies for elevator door systems
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation
• Develop mechanical designs using 3D CAD and ensure manufacturability
• Apply DFM/DFA and Lean principles throughout development
• Perform engineering calculations and validation testing
• Develop prototypes, coordinate testing, analyze results, and iterate designs
• Support R&D and product development from concept to production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain)
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and address production issues
• Maintain engineering records and lifecycle documentation
