Job summary

Vantage Elevation, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – R&D to design, develop, test, and validate mechanical components for elevator door systems. You will create and maintain drawings, BOMs, and specifications, applying DFM, DFA, and Lean principles throughout development.

The role requires 2–4 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, and proficiency with 3D CAD (Inventor) and GD&T to drive robust designs and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of mechanical engineering experience in product development, R&D, manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience in elevator industry or electro-mechanical equipment is a plus.
• Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies from concept through testing and production.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and validate mechanical components, assemblies, and hardware for elevator door systems.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and other technical documentation.
• Apply DFM, DFA and Lean principles throughout the product development process.
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis to support design decisions and verify performance.
• Support cross-functional teams and ECO processes across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
