Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks an experienced R&D S&E Microwave & Sensor Engineer to design microwave PWBs and PWAs for transmitters and receivers, collaborating with radar engineering teams to ensure requirements are met.

You will conduct RF testing, assist in test development, provide technical leadership, and work across disciplines. Onsite work with occasional travel up to 25% and eligibility for DOE Q clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years of directly relevant experience or equivalent
• Ability to attain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance
• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
• Experience with RF and microwave design and test equipment

Responsibilities

• Design microwave PWBs and PWAs for transmitters and receivers
• Collaborate with radar engineering teams to meet requirements
• Conduct laboratory testing of RF transmitters/receivers
• Provide technical leadership and design documentation
• Cross-disciplinary collaboration and tech maturation
• Onsite work in Albuquerque, NM with up to 25% travel
