Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Systems Engineer and Project Lead to drive development of advanced RF/microwave special communications systems for high‑consequence national security applications. You will mentor engineers, define system requirements, and guide design reviews end‑to‑end.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage cost, schedule, and risk across the project lifecycle.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five or more years of directly relevant experience.
• Active DOE Q security clearance or equivalent (e.g. DOW Top Secret).
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing complex programs.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and listen to a multidisciplinary team of engineers and subject‑matter experts.
• Define and manage system requirements, architectures, and interfaces, and conduct trade studies.
• Plan and lead integration, test, and field‑test activities.
• Mentor staff and help grow the department's systems engineering capabilities.
• Provide programmatic and technical status updates to management and partners.
