Oshkosh Corporation seeks an R&D Machinist to join the Design team at our R&D facility. You will fabricate and machine parts, weldments, and test fixtures for new products, using burn tables, machining centers, brake presses and welders.

You will read drawings and CAD models, choose proper tooling, and work with engineering to resolve issues. You will mentor fellow machinists, drive continuous improvement, and help plan daily activities to meet project timelines in a safety‑minded environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree with three (3) years of experience in engineering or equivalent.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Knowledge of fabrication and machining terms and definitions.
• Ability to adapt to fast pace environments and deliverables on schedule.

Responsabilités

• Machining and fabrication of parts and weldments for R&D projects.
• Operate equipment such as burn tables, machining centers, brake presses and welders.
• Read vernier/calipers and bore mic readings to ensure part accuracy.
• Maintain tools and equipment and coordinate with engineering to resolve issues.
• Mentor fellow machinists and pursue continuous improvement projects.
