Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation seeks a welding engineering oriented professional to contribute to fabrication and automation initiatives across our global manufacturing network. You will develop procedures, analyze processes, and support prototype to production builds under close supervision.

This role offers exposure to cost analysis, fixture/tooling reviews, and optimization of space and workflow in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

Pursuing either an associate or bachelor’s degree in weld engineering, robotics, mechatronics, programming, engineering or a related field.
Background in fabrication.
Experience with offline programming.

Responsibilities

Review and develop welding procedures according to applicable codes and standards.
Support future automation needs including cost analysis, programming, and integration.
Under close supervision, perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks related to fabrication processes.
Responsible for managing projects or parts of a project to ensure quality of work while meeting deadlines.
Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, or production builds.
Review and recommend fixture and tooling designs.
Analyze space requirements, workflow and designs layout for equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Review and process engineering information through change notices, change proposals, continuous improvement requests etc.
Participate in cost studies, project time estimation, and technical proposals.
