Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, Inc. in Greencastle, PA is seeking an R&D Machinist to join our R&D Facility's design team. You will machine complex parts, fabricate weldments and support new product development.

This hands-on role requires reading drawings and measurements, maintaining tooling, and collaborating with engineers. A background in engineering fabrication and 3D CAD is preferred, with 5% travel possible and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Foresight to address potential technical issues with fabrication and machining.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures, drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Ability to adapt to a fast pace and fluid environment.
• Attention to detail and quality; strong communication skills.
• Travel up to 5% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Machine complex parts, weldments and test fixtures.
• Determine equipment and methods to machine complex parts.
• Maintain equipment and tooling for your area.
• Read verneer, dial and digital bore mics, calipers and other instruments.
• Mentor fellow machinists and drive continuous improvement.
