Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate required or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in fiber optics, photonics, lasers, electronics, or related R&D/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, schematics, and test procedures.
• Hands-on experience with fiber-optic assembly and laser characterization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, calibrate, and test high-performance laser and optical amplifier products units, including prototype builds and R&D support.
• Perform precision fiber-optic assembly, fusion splicing, and optical alignment.
• Carry out optical and electrical testing, standard and custom measurements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and product issues and assist engineers with failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Record and analyze test data and maintain accurate production and laboratory documentation.
