Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in fiber optics, photonics, lasers, electronics or related R&D/manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience with fiber-optic assembly, fusion splicing, optical testing, laser characterization, and troubleshooting preferred.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, procedures, schematics and test specs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, calibrate, and test high-performance laser and optical amplifier products units, including prototypes and R&D support.
• Perform precision fiber-optic assembly, fusion splicing, and optical alignment.
• Carry out optical and electrical testing, standard and custom measurements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and product issues and assist engineers with failure analysis.
• Record and analyze test data and maintain accurate production and laboratory documentation.
