Job summary

Eurofins USA Genomic Services in Louisville, KY is seeking an R&D Technician to support daily laboratory operations, sample processing, and experimental workflows. You will work with DNA/RNA extraction, RT-PCR, ELISA, and NGS workflows under the guidance of the R&D Manager.

The role includes training in molecular biology techniques, adherence to QA and safety protocols, lab documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 1-3 years experience in an industry lab; preferred 1-3 years experience with sequencing.
• Familiarity with sequencing - library prep, RT-PCR, DNA/RNA extraction.
• Willingness to receive training in molecular biology techniques and R&D protocols.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process samples for developmental research as directed by the R&D team.
• Collaborate with the R&D Manager to ensure samples are processed in alignment with quality standards and project timelines.
• Support the upkeep and organization of the lab, including equipment and supplies.
• Adhere to the lab’s QA system and follow all safety protocols.
• Assist with preparing samples and conducting DNA/RNA extraction and quantification, RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis, and NGS workflows.
