Job summary

Eurofins USA Genomic Services is hiring an Entry-Level DNA Sequencing Technician to join our production lab in Louisville. You will support both Sanger and Oxford Nanopore sequencing workflows in a high‑throughput environment, handling DNA samples, sequencing reactions, libraries, and instrument operation.

The role requires a strong scientific foundation, accuracy, and teamwork to meet quality and turnaround targets. Early-morning Tuesday–Saturday schedule with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
• Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to learn new laboratory techniques and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Organize and process incoming DNA samples according to production needs.
• Perform DNA extraction, purification, and preparation for sequencing workflows.
• Pipette DNA sequencing reactions accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare sequencing libraries using ONT protocols while ensuring quality.
• Load, operate, monitor sequencing instruments (ABI 3730xl and ONT).
• Maintain accurate production records and logs in compliance with quality systems.
• Collaborate with team members to meet turnaround times and production goals.
