Actalent is seeking a Research and Development Laboratory Technician for our Romeoville, IL site. You will perform routine sample preparation, formulation work, and analytical testing to support cosmetic, personal care, health & beauty, or pharmaceutical projects.

This contract-to-hire role emphasizes safety, data integrity, and strong housekeeping in a collaborative lab environment. Responsibilities include leading bench-scale to alpha-scale formulation trials, reviewing SDSs, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science field (chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related).
• Cosmetics, personal care, health & beauty, or pharmaceutical lab experience is a plus.
• Experience in research and development or laboratory-based roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine sample preparation, product development activities, and basic laboratory testing.
• Lead assigned projects under supervision, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
• Record, report, and interpret scientific results with accuracy.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and manage hazardous materials and SDS review.
• Collaborate with team in a product development environment.
