Job summary

Kdc One is seeking a Junior Chemist to join our Research & Development Lab in Saddle Brook, NJ. You will prepare lab batches of personal care, hair care and skin care products according to issued formulations and product specs from the Formulating Team. This entry-level position reports to a Senior Chemist or higher R&D management.

We expect strong chemistry knowledge, attention to detail and proficiency with lab equipment and office software. Competitive benefits apply; relocation not specified.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Chemistry or equivalent.
• 5–8 years in personal care industry; 4+ years in a R&D Junior Chemist/Chemist role.
• Experience with cGMP/GLP/SOP in R&D.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory batches of personal care, hair care and skin care products per formulations and product specs.
• Prepare submission bench batches for client approvals based on prescribed formulations and product specifications.
• Compile and analyze test information to improve formulations as needed to reach desired results.
• Operate specialized lab equipment and perform testing and evaluation based on results.
• Confer with formulators and provide recommendations to improve formulas, processes or analytical methods.
• Ensure stability and efficacy; issue product specifications and maintain data throughout development.
• Maintain accurate real-time lab notebooks and data bases.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose best solution for problems.
• Adhere to cGMP, GLP, and SOP in personal care development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
