Job summary

Atrium Staffing is seeking a Junior Scientist (Personal Care) to join a growing consumer products team in New Jersey. You will help develop and improve personal care formulations, perform stability testing, maintain detailed documentation, and support product launches in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 6 months to 1 year of cosmetic formulation experience, strong writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in personal care formulation.
• Experience conducting laboratory testing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and technical writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Self-motivated and can work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop new formulations and reformulate existing products under guidance.
• Maintain lab records and formulation documentation.
• Conduct stability testing and evaluate texture, pH, viscosity, and appearance.
• Communicate test results and recommendations to teams.
• Prepare samples and support project timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Packaging, and Marketing to support objectives.
• Troubleshoot formulation challenges and participate in process improvements.
