Job summary

Solid Power is looking for a dedicated R&D Intern in Thornton, Colorado to support our innovative team in the electrification sector. You will work closely with engineers and scientists, mainly focusing on materials characterization and lab scale cell builds.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in chemistry or material science, possesses detail-oriented skills, and is capable of operating various lab equipment. We are seeking someone who can work 10-15 hours during the fall and up to 30 hours during summer.

Qualifications

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree, junior/senior preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Hands-on experience in labs, especially with gloveboxes, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct materials characterization and perform cell building activities.
• Operate lab equipment and maintain accurate experiment records.
• Clean and organize lab areas, document procedures.
