Job summary

Solid Power, Inc. is seeking a Product Development Intern to join our team of engineers and scientists working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next‑generation, all solid‑state rechargeable batteries.

The preferred candidate will be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program focused on engineering, chemistry, or a related field. The role offers hands-on experience in lab and production environments, with opportunities to contribute to electrode fabrication,

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s program in a STEM field.
  • Experience in an academic or industrial lab environment.
  • Comfort with safe handling of hazardous materials and equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Li-ion battery cell operation, performance, and failure modes preferred.
  • Experience with Python or Minitab is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with and under the direction of scientists and engineers to run experiments at the lab and production scales.
  • Support electrode fabrication by mixing and hand casting electrode slurries.
  • Support slurry development by collecting and analyzing rheological data and making recommendations for future iterations.
  • Communicate results and roadblocks to the broader team/audience.
  • Always follow all facility and laboratory safety rules and regulations.
