Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Scientist I - R&D Immunology & Flow Cytometry in Burlington, NC to perform flow cytometry experiments and contribute to assay development. You will design experiments, analyze data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance immunology research and clinical applications.

Qualifications

• PhD in Life Sciences Immunology, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or Hematology.
• 3+ years of experience with flow cytometry, experimental design, assay optimization, or data analysis.
• Experience with clinical flow cytometry applications (preferred).
• Multicolor panel design and optimization (preferred).
• Experience with flow cytometry analysis software (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform flow cytometry experiments, including sample preparation, staining, acquisition, and data analysis
• Assist with development and validation of new assays, including immunodeficiency testing, and MRD applications
• Analyze experimental results, troubleshoot assay performance, and contribute to scientific decision-making
• Develop and optimize multicolor flow cytometry panels and gating strategies
• Support analytical validation activities, including precision, stability, method comparisons, and assay performance evaluations
• Perform literature reviews and apply scientific knowledge to support assay development activities
• Maintain accurate experimental documentation, protocols, and reports
• Collaborate with scientists, clinical laboratory teams, and cross-functional partners
• Present project updates and scientific findings to team members and leadership
