Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Flow Cytometry Diagnostic Specialist Cell Immunology to join our team in Burlington, NC. The role centers on developing and validating flow cytometry panels, analyzing multi-color data, and ensuring data integrity across diagnostic workflows.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science with 2 years of clinical diagnostic experience and ASCP/AMT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinical diagnostic setting.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Strong immunophenotyping knowledge for hematologic disorders is preferred.
• Experience with Flow cytometry software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement new flow cytometry panels as needed for emerging diagnostic needs
• Analyze and interpret multi-color flow cytometry data for diagnostic purposes, including hematologic malignancies, immune deficiencies, and monitoring of transplant patients
• Maintain and troubleshoot flow cytometry instruments (e.g., BD FACSCanto, FACSLyric, or equivalent) to ensure optimal performance and data integrity
• Prepare data summaries, reports and write SOPs.
• Participate in quality control, proficiency testing, and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and mentorship to laboratory staff on flow cytometry techniques and analysis.
