Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Flow Cytometry Diagnostic Specialist Cell Immunology to join our team in Burlington, NC. The position supports development, validation and implementation of flow cytometry panels for diagnostic needs and data interpretation across hematologic disorders.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am -5:30pm. You will maintain instruments, analyze data, prepare reports and mentor staff in flow cytometry techniques while upholding CLIA/CAP regulations in a fast-paced laboratory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science.
• 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinical diagnostic setting.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement new flow cytometry panels as needed for emerging diagnostic needs.
• Analyze and interpret multi-color flow cytometry data for diagnostic purposes, including hematologic malignancies, immune deficiencies, and monitoring of transplant patients.
• Maintain and troubleshoot flow cytometry instruments to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
• Prepare data summaries, reports and write SOPs.
• Participate in quality control, proficiency testing, and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and mentorship to laboratory staff on flow cytometry techniques and analysis.
