Job summary

Labcorp in Burlington, NC seeks a Flow Cytometry Diagnostic Specialist Cell Immunology to join our team. This role focuses on developing, validating, and implementing flow cytometry panels for diagnostic needs, interpreting complex data and ensuring instrument performance.

The candidate will contribute to quality control, SOP writing, and staff training, with a Monday–Friday schedule in a clinical lab setting. 2+ years of relevant experience preferred; ASCP/AMT certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinical diagnostic setting.
• ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement new flow cytometry panels as needed for emerging diagnostic needs.
• Analyze and interpret multi-color flow cytometry data for diagnostic purposes, including hematologic malignancies, immune deficiencies, and monitoring of transplant patients.
• Maintain and troubleshoot flow cytometry instruments (e.g., BD FACSCanto, FACSLyric, or equivalent) to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
• Prepare data summaries, reports and write SOPs.
• Participate in quality control, proficiency testing, and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and mentorship to laboratory staff on flow cytometry techniques and analysis.
