Job summary

Formlabs is seeking an FP&A Senior Analyst on R&D Finance to partner with Product, Engineering and Program Management, building the financial model behind the R&D pipeline and advising on gross margin and pricing across printers, consumables and services.

You’ll develop dashboards (Looker, SQL) for spend, headcount and program health, prepare monthly and quarterly packages for the CFO, and support Treasury with intercompany funding and FX exposure.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance experience.
• Experience in a hardware-oriented company with BOM, COGS, tooling and NPI cycles.
• Hands-on experience with gross margin analysis, cost modeling, or pricing strategy for multi-product hardware.
• Strong technical proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), SQL, and BI/visualization tools (Looker, Tableau).
• Strong communicator who can translate complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end financial model for the R&D pipeline across budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Program Management leaders to monitor performance-to-budget.
• Build and maintain long-term revenue forecasts based on unit economics and go-to-market assumptions.
• Analyze gross margin by product line and develop pricing recommendations for new launches and existing SKUs.
• Develop and maintain dashboards/reports (Looker, SQL) for spend, headcount, and program health.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly R&D financial packages for the CFO and exec team, with commentary on drivers and risks.
• Support Treasury functions, including intercompany funding, cash management, and FX exposure across global entities.
• Drive FP&A process improvements to scale with the business.
