Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Austin, TX seeks a Staff R&D Finance Analyst to partner with R&D leadership, Finance, HR, and cross-functional teams to drive financial planning, analysis, reporting, and governance across the R&D organization.

You will develop financial models, dashboards, and analytical tools, provide insights to improve efficiency, support budgeting and forecasting, and enable data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related discipline.
3-5 years of experience in finance, FP&A, business operations, analytics, or related functions.
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis activities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Support annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, long-range planning activities, and financial reporting processes.
Analyze financial and operational performance against plan, identify key trends, and communicate insights to management.
Develop financial models, business cases, and analytical frameworks to support decision-making.
Partner with business leaders to evaluate opportunities, risks, and resource requirements.
Assist in preparation of management reviews, executive presentations, and business updates.
Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and analytical tools that improve visibility and decision-making.
Provide actionable insights to improve operational and financial performance.
