Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Advanced Solutions Group. Based in the Tullahoma, TN; Farmington Hills, MI; or Greenville, SC offices, this role supports project managers through planning, scheduling, procurement, and client communications.

The team handles diverse facilities in defense, energy, and civilian sectors. The position emphasizes collaboration across engineering, procurement, and project controls, with opportunities to contribute to new business opportunities and

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required to comply with government customer requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 5+ years of technical project experience; advanced degrees may substitute.
• Experience with capital expenditure project processes and organizational management, including design, procurement, fabrication and turnover.
• Familiarity with MS Project and procurement processes; project management tools.
• Strong communication skills, both in person and via platforms such as Microsoft Teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, cost estimates, specifications, requirements, deliverables, and team communications.
• Coordinate workflows with engineering teams and functional groups to ensure information is communicated per the project control plan.
• Track project progress, resource usage, ETCs, change requests, pricing, and client-side deliverables; identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Support procurement activities by vetting suppliers, coordinating bidding, and assisting with subcontract and vendor contracts.
• Interface with customers, internal resources, and external suppliers; assist in developing new business opportunities and information gathering for estimates.
• Support project and process quality audits and disposition of non-conforming products; suggest process improvements.
• Interpret internal and external business issues and resolve project delivery issues using established solutions.
