Job summary

Amentum's Advanced Solutions Group is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our offices in Tullahoma, TN; Farmington Hills, MI; or Greenville, SC. You will lead and manage structural projects within a multi-discipline team, delivering designs from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in structural design, proficiency in STAAD and ANSYS, and experience with IBC, AISC, ACI, and ASCE codes. US citizenship required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis.
• Proficient in STAAD and ANSYS; knowledge of IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage other structural engineers and drafters through all project phases.
• Provide complete design solutions from concept to construction.
• Apply design loading per building codes and design codes.
• Perform design and analysis using hand methods and finite element tools.
• Oversee 3D models and 2D construction drawings.
• Develop construction bid packages with calculations, specs and drawings.
• Coordinate with clients and other disciplines; participate in design reviews.
