Job summary

Mycronic USA is seeking an experienced Manager, R&D Engineering to lead the Surfx Mycronic plasma technology and automated equipment platforms within the Global Technologies division. You will guide the full product development lifecycle from concept through production release, providing technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, and controls domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience leading engineering teams and multidisciplinary projects from concept to production release.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the R&D Engineering team with hands-on technical guidance.
• Establish milestones, ownership, and resource allocation for new product development, sustaining engineering, and customer-driven projects.
• Translate business priorities and customer needs into structured engineering programs with executive alignment.
• Lead design, prototyping, testing, and productization of plasma engines and subsystems (electrodes, gas/power delivery, thermal management).
• Ensure plasma engine performance meets semiconductor process requirements and supports commercially viable products.
• Direct the architecture and integration of complete semiconductor production systems (wafer/substrate handling, robotics, controls).
• Drive DOE, FMEA, DFM/DFS, reliability engineering; strengthen configuration control and technical documentation.
• Lead product development from early R&D through EVT, DVT, and NPI; ensure readiness for production.
