Job summary

Mycronic is seeking a Senior Semiconductor Equipment Engineer (Mechanical) to drive design, development, and continuous improvement of automated plasma equipment for the semiconductor industry. You will lead mechanical engineering from concept through prototyping, testing, validation, and product launch, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure performance and reliability.

The role requires 10+ years in mechanical tool design, expertise in SolidWorks and GD&T, and the ability to

Qualifications

Master’s or PhD in mechatronics or related field.
10+ years of mechanical tool design experience, preferably in semiconductor or high-precision equipment.
Strong knowledge of SolidWorks, GD&T, and project planning tools.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical engineering development for turnkey plasma equipment from concept to launch.
Design and integrate mechanical/mechatronic systems for high-precision plasma tools.
Develop detailed mechanical designs and documentation with GD&T and manufacturability in mind.
Mentor team members and foster a collaborative engineering environment.
Collaborate with electrical, controls, software, and process teams to integrate subsystems.
