Job summary
MPI, a leading electronic component manufacturer, seeks a high-impact product development leader in Irvine, CA. The successful candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5+ years in product development or R&D, and experience launching products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in product development, R&D, or innovation engineering.
- Experience launching products into commercial production.
- Understanding of DFM principles and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and market opportunities.
- Generate innovative product ideas through customer engagement and industry research.
- Lead product development programs from concept through commercialization.
- Create and evaluate prototypes and product designs.
- Conduct engineering analysis and validation activities.
- Assess manufacturability, scalability, quality, and cost considerations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, marketing, and sales teams.
- Support customer meetings, technical discussions, and product presentations.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Provide strategic recommendations to leadership regarding future product and manufacturing initiatives.
