Job summary

The Eaton R&D Engineering Intern program in Cleveland, TN invites motivated engineering students to contribute to the Switching Devices product line. You will support CAD design, testing, and DFMA assessments while collaborating with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to align with the Pro-Launch process.

Work under experienced engineers, participate in certification activities with UL/CSA where applicable, and help drive sustainability projects through innovation and design

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
• Relocation to Cleveland, TN site required for internship.
• Minimum GPA 2.8 or higher.
• Relocation assistance provided for candidates outside 50-mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD solid modeling, design simulation, BOM creation, CO creation and testing.
• Design parts/assemblies including sheet metal, plastics, mechanisms, electrical and wiring.
• Participate in new product development, prototype testing, DFMA assessments, and industrialization activities.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to meet PROLaunch project milestones.
• Support VOC research and maintain/upgrade existing products via MOL/VAVE.
