Job summary

Eaton is seeking an R&D Engineering Intern in Cleveland, TN, to support the Switching Devices product line. You’ll work under engineering supervision on design, testing, and certification activities, contributing to PRELaunch projects from research to manufacturing launch, and supporting sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities include design validation, documentation control, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to meet project milestones and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Minimum GPA 2.8 or higher.
• Willing to relocate to Cleveland, TN for the internship.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD solid modeling, design simulation, and BOM/CO creation.
• Design parts and assemblies including sheet metal, plastics, mechanisms, electrical wiring.
• Participate in new product development, DFMA assessments, prototyping, and testing.
