Job summary

Eaton Corporation seeks a Product Engineer Intern for a 12-week paid internship at the South Milwaukee, WI site to work alongside experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience in sustaining engineering for medium voltage equipment.

You will develop CAD models, perform analyses, and participate in design for manufacture activities while contributing to cost-saving and process improvements across engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with graduation no earlier than December 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 or above.
• No immigration sponsorship; CPT/OPT/STEM OPT not offered.
• No relocation offered; candidates must reside within 50 miles of South Milwaukee, WI.

Responsibilities

• Develop, sustain, and improve product design and definition data (BOMs, 3D models, drawings, specifications).
• Assist in introduction of new products and changes to existing products.
• Support production and manufacturing engineering with resolution of production and testing issues.
• Learn and apply Design for Manufacture/ Assembly (DFM/DFA).
• Learn and apply engineering analysis and simulation tools (CAD, FEA, statistical software).
• Set aggressive goals, measure performance, and strive to exceed expectations.
