Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (SolidWorks preferred).
• Strong math and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Oversee new product design, testing, and review/improve production and fabrication processes.
• Prepare shop fabrication drawings for new prototypes.
• Manage in-house testing and periodic updates of test reports.
• Coordinate with outside testing agencies as needed.
• Analyze processes to improve production, reduce costs, and improve quality.
• Assist in creating jigs/fixtures with maintenance to maximize productivity.
• Promote safe and efficient operations across the plant.
