  • Be part of a stable R&D team that values your technical contribution. We are embedded engineers designing smart control and data acquisition systems (DSP / 32-bit uPs) for the downhole drilling industry. This industry suits energetic engineers who enjoy solving complex problems. Our primary focus is on designing low-power, high-reliability embedded systems for downhole drilling tools operating under extreme temperature and vibration conditions. You will have access to top tools and are expected to stay current with market products. Your broad knowledge in disciplines such as mechanical engineering, physics, signal processing, software architecture, electronic packaging, manufacturing, and testing will be utilized.
  • The engineer will develop systems that meet specified functionality and performance requirements, conducting design and acceptance reviews according to Halliburton’s standards.
  • Additional responsibilities include reporting development activities, providing estimated completion timelines, and promptly communicating issues affecting product development with various teams including project management, mechanical, software, and hardware groups.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with at least 2 years of related experience. A master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline is preferred.
  • Skills (demonstrated in some or all of the following):
    • Embedded firmware development (especially C)
    • Digital circuit design
    • Data acquisition instrumentation and methods
    • Data analysis tools such as Matlab
    • Analog circuit design
  • Candidates with qualifications exceeding the minimum may be considered for higher roles based on experience, additional requirements, and business needs. Opportunities range from R&D Electrical Engineer to Senior and Principal levels.
