Position Overview
This is a highly technical and strategic electrical engineering role focused on the planning and execution of grid interconnection for renewable energy projects (especially onshore wind and battery energy storage systems). The role involves detailed engagement with ISOs, utility companies, EPCs, and regulatory authorities to secure and manage interconnection agreements and ensure compliance with U.S. grid code standards. The engineer will also support technical due diligence, milestone scheduling, and cost/technical negotiations.

Key Responsibilities Breakdown
- Grid Interconnection Lead:
- Manage grid impact studies.
- Oversee grid connection applications and contract finalization.
- Conduct technical negotiations with ISOs and utilities.
Regulatory and Technical Coordination:- Interpret grid code and utility regulations.
- Coordinate conceptual electrical designs with consultants.
Vendor & EPC Engagement:- Evaluate technical and commercial bids from manufacturers and EPCs.
- Assist with technical contract inputs.
Due Diligence & Construction Support:- Provide input across financial, regulatory, and engineering due diligence.
- Support project scheduling and milestone planning from an engineering view.
Must-Have Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years in electrical engineering related to grid/T&D equipment.
- Strong knowledge of grid code regulations, interconnection protocols, and ISO engagement experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and oral).
- Demonstrated teamwork, adaptability, and self-starting attitude.
- Ability to operate in a multinational, fast-moving renewable environment.
Preferred (Plus) Experience
- 3+ years in renewable energy development (especially wind or BESS).
- Certifications in site supervision or construction management.
- Experience in project execution of power plants or transmission lines.
