Location:

This position is full-time on-site in Dover, NH. The candidate should be within a 45-minute commute.

R&D Electrical Automation Engineer III - Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Be a key technical member of the project team, developing custom automation solutions for complex challenges.
  • Design, program, simulate, and test automated machinery, considering workflow, layout, and safety.
  • Lead the design, programming, and integration of electrical automation systems.
  • Evaluate and implement new methods or technologies for quality, safety, and efficiency improvements.
  • Manage equipment procurement projects, interfacing with vendors, developing specifications, and reviewing protocols.
  • Create and revise technical documents, SOPs, safety instructions, and validation protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with international and local safety and design standards.
  • Develop project timelines, scope, plans, and cost estimates, and communicate progress.
  • Lead experiments, validation, testing, and data analysis.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Troubleshoot complex automation issues to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the R&D Team Leader.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field; Electrical or Software engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of product/process development experience.
  • Background in automation control systems (PLC, HMI, motion control, vision, robots).
  • Experience with engineering tools like SolidWorks, GXWorks, C-More is a plus.
  • Strong skills in statistical analysis, experimental design, and risk assessment.
  • Proficient in electrical panel layout and documentation systems.
  • Basic computer skills; willingness to learn new software.
  • Willing to travel (<5%) domestically and internationally.
