Job Description

Job Summary:
Support software test and tool development activities for a medical equipment development project. The expert will plan, develop, and execute software testing, and evaluate the verification status of the product. This role also involves working with a globally distributed team on product development, verification, and release.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application software development, including test automation.
2. Creating test strategies, plans, reports, test cases, and scripts.
3. Debugging automation framework architecture and development issues to improve testing automation frameworks.
4. Functionality development in application software.
5. Interacting with stakeholders including software development and verification teams.
6. Working in a global delivery environment.

Location: Waltham, MA (Onsite)

Bill Rate: $40.64

Qualifications

Qualifications:

1. 5-8+ years of experience in software development and testing of medical device systems, including integration with lab devices (e.g., Class II & Class III). At least 2 years of experience in medical devices/healthcare is essential.
2. Extensive experience in Python, including threading and multiprocessing libraries, as well as Pandas, Numpy, SciPy, PyTest, Cucumber, etc.
3. Experience in building test frameworks and automating complex workflows using Selenium and Squish.
4. Proficiency with tools such as Git, GitBucket, GitLab, Accurev, Jira, Jenkins, and product lifecycle management tools like Windchill.
5. Experience with ISO and FDA documentation and compliance for medical devices is preferred.

Skills:

1. Hands-on experience with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and System Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
2. Ability to work independently or within project teams with minimal guidance.
3. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
4. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering. Other engineering degrees may be acceptable with proven software education and experience.
