Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for R&D Design & Development Co-ops for the Spring 2027 term in Cincinnati, OH. You will rotate through the Co-op program, performing testing, data interpretation, and design validation while leveraging CAD tools and simulation to advance medical device development.

Candidates should be enrolled in an engineering degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA, be legally authorized to work in the U.S., and be prepared for full-time on-site work during the term.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an accredited college pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Biomedical or Electrical Engineering (PhD considered).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0; must be U.S. work authorized for the full term.
• Must be available to work full-time on-site during the term.
• Previous internship or co-op in medical device is preferred.
• Must not require visa sponsorship for the term.

Responsibilities

• Use state-of-the-art tools and on-site training to support product design.
• Perform testing, experimentation, and validation to back design decisions.
• Contribute to design work with CAD, simulations, and engineering fundamentals.
• Assist in developing lab testing, analyze data, and propose next steps.
• Potential to receive CAD training and build simulation models during rotations.
