Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for Software Engineering Co-ops for the Spring 2027 term in Cincinnati, OH. You will design and develop product software, test tools, and write formal requirements for medical device software under IEC 62304 standards.

Rotations are 3–4 months with housing assistance for non-local students; housing resources are provided and transportation is not included.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an accredited college pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related degree.
• Must have completed a minimum of two semesters in school prior to the beginning of the co-op term (sophomore or above).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 and legal work authorization in the United States for the full duration of the co‑op term.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop product software to integrate with mechanical, electrical, and distributed computing systems.
• Develop test tools to test product software in an integrated environment.
• Convert chosen technical options into formal testable written requirements; document designs and specifications per design control processes (IEC 62304).
• Opportunity to use state-of-the-art tools and training courses offered on-site and virtually.
