Job summary

Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc. is seeking a Co-op Mechanical Engineering student to join the R&D Design & Testing team in Jessup, MD. The position focuses on developing and validating new products through hands-on lab work and CAD modeling.

The role involves building and modifying test setups, collecting data, and supporting multiple engineering programs. A paid six-month co-op with a Monday–Friday schedule is provided at BAC Corporate Office.

Qualifications

• Majoring in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or Materials preferred).
• Seniors or MS students preferred.
• Proficient with data acquisition equipment setup and operation.

Responsibilities

• Work with BAC's R&D Design & Testing team to support the development and validation of new products and technologies.

• Support performance, reliability, and developmental testing activities.

Job description

• Work with BAC's R&D Design & Testing team to support the development and validation of new products and technologies
• Design, assemble, and modify test setups, prototypes, and experimental equipment
• Support performance, reliability, and developmental testing activities
• Collect, analyze, and report test data to support engineering decisions
• Create and update CAD models, drawings, and test documentation
• Support design, testing, and project execution activities across multiple engineering programs

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Majoring in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or Materials preferred)
• Seniors or MS students preferred
• Comfortable working in hands-on laboratory/testing environment and using shop and power tools
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD required; experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred but not required
• Working knowledge of data acquisition equipment setup an operation
• Proficient in Excel; advanced knowledge of Excel VBA, Matlab, or similar programming language preferred

INFORMATION

• Status: Full-time, Temporary (6 months)
• Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

• Requirements: Reliable transportation to BAC Corporate Office every day

BAC Hiring Compensation Range $22 - $28 per hour.

BAC provides additional earnings in the form of overtime as applicable under law.
