Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Raritan, NJ, seeks a Wound Closure and Healing R&D Device Summer Intern. The term runs May through August 2027, with a 40-hour work week and full-time requirements.

You will assist engineers on Ethicon Biosurgery projects, perform tests, and help document design controls. Rexpective candidates are pursuing Mechanical, Biomedical, or related degrees, with a GPA of 2.8+, basic CAD/ SolidWorks skills, and an interest in prototyping methods.

Qualifications

• Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Bio-engineering, or related fields.
• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
• Knowledge of CAD Software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Knowledge statistics preferred.
• Knowledge of 3D printing or other prototyping methods preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Generally Requires 0-2 Years Work Experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with various R&D job functions within active projects for Ethicon Biosurgery.
• Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson procedures and guidelines, this position:
• Attend team meetings as necessary.
• Perform necessary mechanical and laboratory testing, and post-testing analysis.
• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
• Assist in assembly of prototype devices.
• Create/Update parts, assemblies and drawings in CAD (SolidWorks).
• Write reports, test methods, protocols and other design control documentation.
• Complete engineering activities for multiple projects.
• Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other duties assigned as needed.
