Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Engineering.
• 3+ years in coatings industry.
• Experience with project management.
• Familiarity with application and troubleshooting of industrial coatings.
• Understanding of spectral measurement data.
• Data analysis and math skills.
• Experience with Design of Experiment.

Responsibilities

• Designs and executes experiments, draws conclusions and makes recommendations.
• Maintains accurate and detailed documentation of lab work and provides written updates and presentations of technical material.
• Communicates with other departments/functions and leverages a wide network of resources.
• Works under limited supervision and can independently design experiments and write reports.
• Contributes solutions to moderately complex projects.
• Communicates ideas concisely in written technical reports.
• Complies with safety and security regulations; maintains a clean lab.
• Travels for conferences and product commercialization support.
• Trains or mentors newer chemists and technicians.
• Adheres to Global Business Management System quality standards.
• Follows company safety standards at all times.
