Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Senior Chemist at the Morikis Global Technology Center in Brecksville, OH to develop innovative technologies and support Aerospace coatings initiatives. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with marketing, sales, manufacturing, and field technical service, with travel for manufacturing support and customer visits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math.
2–4 years of coating industry experience with technology deliveries.
3–5 years of lab experience with products/ technologies including 2K epoxy/urethane.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Proficient in computer data analysis.

Responsibilities

Understand Aerospace coatings needs and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to develop new technologies with commercial impact.
Lead technical projects and provide timely, sound solutions to moderate technical challenges.
Perform material evaluations, problem solving, and formulation work for new products.
Serve as technical expert in Aerospace products, provide training, and present results to teams.
Design experiments, analyze results, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
Communicate project status effectively and write technical reports.
