Job summary

World Class Industries in Iowa is seeking a detail-oriented Quote Specialist to manage the complete RFQ process from intake through on-time delivery of accurate quotes. You will review technical and commercial requirements, coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, and ensure quotes align with customer needs and business objectives.

The role requires 2–5 years in quoting and pricing management, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or relevant experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• Epicor Kinetic ERP experience preferred.
• 2–5 years in quoting, pricing management and customer support preferred.
• Experience with material commodities and manufacturing processes preferred.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Understanding of supply chain management and purchasing techniques preferred.
• Experience communicating with customers/vendors via phone, email and in person preferred.
• Ability to read prints, understand call outs and quality specifications preferred.
• Ability to make strategic decisions regarding supplier selection and purchasing parameters to ensure quote competitiveness and margin protection preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full RFQ process from intake to on-time delivery of quotes.
• Review technical and commercial requirements and align quotes with customer needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to gather inputs and secure cost/quality/delivery commitments.
• Track open quotes, communicate status, and follow up to meet deadlines and provide service.
• Maintain accurate quote records, pricing details, and ERP version control while supporting margins.
• Support customer cost-management programs and coordinate handoffs when awarded.
• Perform other tasks as required.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing the full request-for-quote (RFQ) process from intake and prioritization through tracking and on-time delivery of accurate, competitive quotes.
• Reviewing technical and commercial requirements, resolve questions early, and ensure each quote aligns with customer needs and business objectives.
• Partnering with internal teams and suppliers to gather inputs and secure competitive cost, quality, and delivery commitments.
• Tracking open quotes, communicating status, and following up proactively to meet customer deadlines and provide exceptional service.
• Maintaining accurate quote records, notes, pricing details, and version control in the ERP system while supporting margin goals.
• Supporting customer cost-management programs and coordinate clear, successful handoffs to internal and external partners when business is awarded.
• Performing other tasks as required

Requirements
